About Us

Almost all my life I have been in the hospitality and catering business since my parents used to run what we call in France a 'Ferme-Auberge-Théâtre', L'Herberie. They used to host music concerts and theatre while guests enjoyed a delicious home-made meal prepared using produce from the farm.

Cooking, hosting, decorating and gardening are natural for me. People soon feel at home when they step in and their 5 senses are activated: the touch of the French greeting, the smell of the bread cooking in the oven, the sound of the relaxing yet energizing music, the sight of the vibrant colors and the natural look of the home, the taste of a nice cup of green tea with a piece of dark chocolate.

Why Ambiance Bed and Breakfast ?

We arrived in Canada in 2002 and bought this house in Roncesvalles Village and renovated it in 2005. At the same time, I started to travel across Eastern Canada for my work (computer sales) and stayed in Bed and Breakfasts one week per month in Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec and Halifax. Slowly, the passion began. I started to take notes on things that I disliked or liked (i.e. home made bread for breakfast, rustic furniture, or when the owners told me about their lives…). One day, I was inspired. ''Why couldn't I do the same myself ?''. I know how to be a gracious host, make nice food and create a welcome environment. In 2007, I asked my friend of 17 years, Magali if she would join me for this venture. Ambiance B&B was created under a wider project 'Ambiance your Life' in which I can express my creativity. In France I was already doing mosaic art but I realized my passion for colours and their power on people. I started taking night classes at the Transformation Arts College (TAC) on The Mystical Path of the Chakras and Meditation. So if you want a specific colour for your bedding, please inquire.

At Ambiance Bed and Breakfast, we resolve to:
